Tools
There are several tools that can be used by IST professors to conduct online assessments.
These tools are described based on the existing functionalities for the development of different types of questions, the ease of use, the experience already existing at IST and also on the level of integration and/or interaction with the IST teaching management system (Fenix).
Four of these tools are intended exclusively for the elaboration of evaluation elements (assessment, tests, exams), namely the ExonlineX@MOOC Tecnico, QUIZZES Tecnico, Worksheets@Fenix and Socrative. The Google Classroom platform is a teaching content management system, i.e., it also allows you to make content available complementary to Fenix and in addition the assessment elements preparation.
The following table presents the main characteristics of each platform. Further help is available in the section How to choose on the most appropriate platform for each need.

The following figure illustrates the potential of each tool regarding the types of responses and the number of students that can be assessed simultaneously.
Other tools are: Zoom, Moodle, Microsoft Teams and SpeedExam.
